PickupPass

Public beta

PickupPass Beta Terms

These terms govern authorized use of the PickupPass public beta. A school or district that activates the service is responsible for approving its use and identifying authorized administrators.

Effective August 15, 2026

Purpose

PickupPass coordinates parent arrival, student preparation, drop-off reports, staff roles, and visual handoff records. It is a workflow aid. It is not an emergency service, attendance system, custody authority, identity document, or replacement for school policy and staff judgment.

School responsibilities

The school must maintain an accurate roster and authorized-pickup list, review custody and safety restrictions, train staff, verify physical handoffs, keep a manual fallback, manage retention, and promptly disable access that is no longer authorized.

Authorized use

Users may access only the school and records they are authorized to use. Do not share sign-in links, PINs, or sessions; probe another tenant; upload unlawful or unnecessary sensitive data; interfere with service; or use PickupPass to make an automated custody or release decision.

Beta availability

The beta may change, experience interruptions, or require maintenance. Schools must keep their existing dismissal and arrival procedures available. Features should be piloted in parallel before operational reliance.

Data and feedback

The school retains responsibility for its records. PickupPass may use de-identified operational feedback and aggregate reliability measurements to improve the product, but does not sell school or student information.

Suspension

PickupPass may suspend access to protect students, users, other schools, or the service; respond to legal requirements; or investigate misuse. Schools should report suspected compromise immediately.

No safety guarantee

PickupPass provides technical controls but cannot confirm a person's identity, custody rights, or the physical location of a student. The school makes every release and safety decision.
